HARLEM SUMMER

This week in Harlem summer Mark went to the party. There were a few blacks and there were some whites. A few well known blacks were there. Mark felt uncomfortable at first. Langston Hughs came over and talked to him and he felt fine after speaking with him. Fats came to the party as planned. As I went over to met him Ms. Fauset went to the door also. She had a not so good look on her face. She asked me did I know Fats and before I could answer Fats said that Mark had hired him to play. He played and everyone loved him. But then a lady asked Fats to write a song for her daughter. I guess it made him mad because he started singing a not so nice song about her. Ms. Fauset got mad. As Fats was leaving we talked. He said that he would introduce me to Bumpy Johnson.
